winter

We're not quite there yet, but I've seen, felt and been actually present for the majesty of winter more this fall than I have in a long long time. It all goes by me so swiftly, like on the current of a spring swollen river. I want to hold on for dear life, want to find the breaks. I want to slow down.

"I prefer winter and fall, when you feel the bone structure of the landscape - the loneliness of it, the dead feeling of winter. Something waits beneath it, the whole story doesn't show." ~Andrew Wyeth
